Senior Design Reviewer (Sustainability)

Hours: Full-Time 35 Hours Work Location: 30-30 Thomson Avenue, LIC, NY 11101Only candidates who are permanent in the Administrative Architect title or those who are reachable on the promotional list (exam #6501) or the open-competitive list (exam #6001) may apply. If you do not meet the previously mentioned civil service criteria, you will not be considered for an interview.The NYC Department of Design & Construction, Public Buildings Division seeks a Sr. Design Reviewer to join the Sustainability Unit. The selected candidate will serve as one of the units representatives for capital projects. Responsibilities include: project scope development; design, construction, and post-construction technical review for both sustainability and resiliency; LEED compliance strategies; and certification documentation. The Sr. Design Reviewer will also be responsible for energy master planning and building performance evaluation. The selected candidate will attend project and site meetings; liaise with DDC Program Unit staff, design consultants, commissioning agents, and contractors; and participate in the units research and development program, which often results in codified policy change.Please note: All candidates must be currently authorized to work full-time in the United States (U.S.).
